Calm Minds, Strong Starts: Yoga for Early Career Teachers at Deer Park School
This week marked our first Early Career Teacher (ECT) networking event of the academic year, bringing together colleagues from both our primary and secondary schools across the Corinium Education Trust. It was a fantastic opportunity for our ECTs to connect, share their early experiences and build supportive professional relationships.
Alongside introductions to the team, the afternoon also included time to relax and recharge. We are very grateful to Sarah Cesek, a teacher at Cirencester Deer Park School, for leading a wonderful wellbeing-focused yoga session. Afterwards, colleagues enjoyed drinks and nibbles while having the chance to talk with others and reflect on the start of their ECT year. We are fortunate to have a mix of Year 1 and Year 2 ECTs, which helps to create a strong support network for our teachers.
We look forward to seeing this community of early career teachers continue to grow and thrive, supporting one another throughout the year ahead.
