Our schools host formal open events, but our Headteachers and their staff also welcome visitors throughout the year. Prospective parents are encouraged to contact the schools they are interested in.

The Trustees of The Corinium Education Trust approve its schools’ Admissions Policies annually and ensures they all adhere to the guidance set out in the Department of Education’s ‘School Admissions Code, Mandatory requirements and statutory guidance for admission authorities, governing bodies, local authorities, schools’ adjudicators and admission appeals panels’ September 2021.
Each school within The Corinium Education Trust is its own admissions’ authority.
All schools in The Corinium Education Trust participate in the co-ordinated admission arrangements operated by Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) for entry into reception for primary schools or Year 7 for secondary schools.
Admission Policies
Each school within The Corinium Education Trust has its own admissions’ policy. These reflect the schools’ individual contexts and location. Admissions Policies are published on our schools’ websites and include details of how to apply for places.
In-year admissions
In-year admissions (for school changes during the school year) are managed by the individual schools within The Corinium Education Trust, and by Gloucestershire County Council. Please see individual school websites above for the process to be followed.
Each school will follow the Fair Access Protocols and liaise with Gloucestershire Country Council and parents accordingly to achieve smooth transitions where appropriate.
Nursery admissions (Chesterton Primary School)
Nursery admissions are managed by Chesterton Primary School. Please see Chesterton Primary School’s website for the process to be followed.
Communication and Interaction Unit (Chesterton Primary School)
All pupils who attend the Communication and Interaction Unit at Chesterton Primary School have Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or are being assessed for an EHCP.
