As you are aware, following our joint in-service training day in January, we set up a CET Staff Forum with representatives from each school. In our first meetings we initiated a conversation around staff wellbeing. We discussed what more we could offer that would make all members of staff feel supported and lead to everyone sharing a greater sense of belonging.

Having met with their representatives at two trust leaders’ conferences, we introduced our Headteachers and Trustees to ‘Education Mutual’ and, together, we have explored the provision available for all school staff. In addition to providing staff absence insurance, Education Mutual also take a proactive approach to reducing staff absence by offering Trusts a comprehensive staff wellbeing package. We are very pleased to report that from 1 October 2025, all members of staff across the Trust will be able to take advantage of this. For example, Education Mutual provides access to a GP service 24/7, telephone helplines and face-to-face counselling and physiotherapy.
More information will be available to staff on Friday, 28 November, when a representative from Education Mutual will join us to explain these benefits to us and encourage everyone to make the most of them.
